Lynda A. Steinhauser

Lynda A. Steinhauser, 79, formerly of South Avenue, Bradford, passed away  Friday, February 12, 2021, at Bradford Ecumenical Home. 

Born December 20, 1941 in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Ellen (Fowler) Steffen.

She was a 1959 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School.

On March 25, 1960 in the Degolia EUB Church, she married Richard T. "Dick"  Steinhauser, who preceded her in death December 3, 2015. 

Linda's work career began at Case Cutlery, Hannum Rest Home, Bradford Regional Medical Center and Zippo Manufacturing. She started working at the Bradford Area Senior Center in 1965. She was instrumental in developing the strategic plan and fund raising needed to build the Senior Center. She lived ate and breathed for area senior citizens. She retired from he Senior Center, as the executive director in 2007. 
 
She is survived by one granddaughter, Hallie Steinhauser, three great grandchildren, Bella Parsons, Lilly Nazario and Miles Nazario, one sister, Mary Ellen (Gerald) Rodoski, of Cicero NY, two brothers, Patrick (Jeannie) Steffen, of Ashville, NY;  and Michael (Lisa) Steffen, of Bemus Point NY, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband Dick of 55 years, two sons, Daryl and Tom Steinhauser.

Heaven has gained a beautiful and loving person.

Friends are invited to livestream her funeral service on Tuesday February 16, 2021, at 12:30 pm. Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian Pastor will officiate. To livestream this service go to www.hollenbeckcahill.com choose the South Avenue camera.  

Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
