Ruth G. Wells

Ruth G. Wells, 85, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021 at her residence, with her family by her side. 

Born on May 30, 1935 in Lorain, OH, Ruth was a daughter of the late Emmett and Crystal (Wardeska) Foringer. She was a graduate of Ambridge High School.

Ruth was formerly married to Robert D. Wells who preceded her in death on April 22, 2006.

She was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Bradford. 

Ruth worked at Corning Glass and also worked over 25 years at Zippo Manufacturing, retiring in 1999. 

She enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing, knitting, baking, skiing, golfing, helping at the Abundant Life Church with the tape ministry and preparing meals for many occasions, volunteering at the Red Cross and the Senior Center. 

Ruth will always be remembered by her infectious laugh and her love of life.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Gary) Lund, of Olean, NY, Christine Hirst, of Bradford, three sons Gary (Sue) Wells, of Rochester, Dana (Kim) Wells, of Bradford and Tim (Diane) Wells, of Bradford, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
 
At the request of the family, Ruth's service will be private with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor of Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to  American Red Cross or McKean County SPCA.
