Donald L. Honhart, Sr., 74, passed away on February 22, 2021, at the Olean General Hospital.
Born on May 01, 1946, in Bradford, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Wheeler) Honhart. He attended the Bradford Area Schools.
Don has been with his life long companion, Debra Pashkow Honhart for 46 years.
Don worked for Georgia Pacific for 43 years, retiring as the head corrugator operator in 2009. Don also owned the G & H Auto garage and owned 6 stock cars.
He loved camping, race car driving, traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City and going to the many race tracks around the country. He will be missed by his family, friends, and his loving little boo.
Don was a member of the Moose, Eagles, Legion, Vets, Marquees, and occasionally attended Hill Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was a representative for the Bradford Credit Union.
Don is survived by his wife Debra, four daughters, Jenny ( Ron) Hogand, of Bradford, Kenra Finlan, of Eldred, Rosealee (Gary) Hepler, of Erie, Dawn (Matthews) Elhres, of Philadelphia, two sons, Donald Honhart, Jr., of Bradford, William (Karen Zinsner) Wilt, of Bradford, three sisters, Carol ( George) Osborne, Bradford, Margaret Honhart, of Bradford, Mary (the late James) Amacher. Twin brother Ronald (Sally) Honhart, of Bradford, ten grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Cyndi, Tosha (Eric) Schoolmaster, Christian, Danielle (Clifford) Torpy, Andrea, Rebecca, George, Matthew, Jr., Elsie, Tyler, and six great grandchildren Evan, Nathan, Nicholas, Sammy, Rowan, Trenten.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roman (Carol) Honhart, infant sisters Helen and June, infant brother Robert, and brother in law James Amacher
Friends are invited to a public visitation on Wednesday February 24, 2021 from 5-7pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, Inc., 33 South Ave. There will be a private service on Thursday at 1pm with Rev. Jay Tennies, Pastor of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
