Maria Teresa "Marisa" Funari, loving mother and grandmother, of Bradford, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Pavilion at BRMC, with her son and daughter in law by her side.
Born on January 25, 1933 in Oriolo, Romano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Erscelia Pennesi.
In 1969, Maria married Mario John Funari in Italy, he preceded her in death in 1981.
Maria loved sewing and knitting, being a seamstress, and taking care of her pets and plants. Her passions were cooking and taking care of her family.
She was a member of the La Stella Lodge Auxiliary and St. Bernard's Church.
Maria is survived by a son Julius Joseph (Tamara) Funari, three grandchildren Marisa, Juliana, and Luke Funari of Lockport, NY along with three nieces residing in Italy.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM in St. Bernard Church with Fr. Jim Gutting, Senior Associate as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at the St. Bernard Mausoleum.
Memorial donations, if desired, can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
