Elsie L. Rouff, 86, of Euclid Avenue, Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the Bradford Manor.
Born on March 12, 1935 in Derrick City, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Nellie (Lawson) Larson. She graduated from Bradford High in 1953.
Throughout high school and after graduation, Elsie enjoyed participating in many athletic sports including gymnastics, softball, golf, bowling and playing pool. In high school she was the vice-president of the Ladies’ Athletic Association and was a participant in the winter circus as a gymnast. She also loved to read in her spare time.
In 1954, Elsie married Donald A. Rouff in St. Bernard’s Church. Don preceded her in death on December 7, 1982.
Elsie worked for Bell Telephone as a supervisor from 1960 to 1976. She also, along with her husband, owned and operated Rouff's Bar and Restaurant in East Bradford for many years.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church and the Eagles Club.
She is survived by her son Dr. Keary J. (Tammi) Rouff, of Allegany NY, one grandson Kellen J. (Stephanie) Rouff, one step-granddaughter Danielle Lewis, former daughter in law Cathy Rouff, and several nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Donald, her longtime companion Oliver "Pat" Nicholas, and one sister Mary Lea Maitland.
There will be a private graveside service at the convenience of the family in the St. Bernard Cemetery.
