Charles L. Chuck Whiteman

Charles L. "Chuck" Whiteman, 67, of 5784 North Street, Limestone, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Olean General Hospital.

Born June 10, 1953 in Olean, he was a son of the late Malcolm T. and Angelina (Barrile) Whiteman. He was a 1972 graduate of Limestone Union Free School.

Chuck was employed at Case Cutlery for 17 years and later as a Custodian at the Allegany-Limestone School in Limestone.

He was a member for 48 years with the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the American Legion, Post 1560 and the Sportsmans Club in Limestone. He was a member of the Italian CLub and the Marquee Club in Bradford. He was a long time soccer coach for the Limestone Winter Soccer League.

Surviving is one daughter, Leslie (Jason Coggin) Webb, of Pensacola FL, three grandchildren, Emily Glass, Ryleigh Webb, and Brett Webb, two brothers, Robert (Karen) Whiteman, of Great Valley, NY, Michael Whiteman, of FL, one sister-in-law, Susan Whiteman, of Goldboro NC, and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, including one special aunt Vickey Champlin, of Limestone.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents one grandson, Wyatt Coggin, and two brothers, Richard Whiteman and Thomas Whiteman.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Limestone Community Center. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
