Mary J. Karrasch

Mary J. Karrasch, 87 formerly of 165 South Avenue, Bradford, passed away Thursday May 20, 2021 at her daughter Valerie’s residence in Graniteville SC.

Born June 21, 1933 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Phyrne and Edith (Williams) Birmingham. She was a 1951 graduate of Bradford High School.

She was a member of St. Bernard Church and was employed at Zippo Manufacturing for over 30 years.

Mary was a member of the Bradford Hospital Auxiliary, Bradford Lioness's and Bradford Professional Women.

Surviving is one daughter, Valerie Karrasch, of Graniteville SC, one son, Daniel (Kathy) Karrasch, Bradford, one brother, William (Carol) Birmingham, of Colonial Beach VA, five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jonathan and James, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, William Karrasch.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in St. Bernard Church, on Saturday May 29, 2021, at 11:00 am a Mass of Christian will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

I loved having Mary as my neighbor. She loved our cooker spaniel, Chelsea and would bring her a "white box" when she went out to dinner. Chelsea always knew and would run to the door next morning to get her treat. Love u Mary. RIP my friend.
