John L. Tarasek

John L. Tarasek, 85, of 5647 Nichols Run Road, Limestone, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at The Pavilion @ BRMC.

Born January 10, 1936, in Buffalo NY, He was a son of the late John and Jennie (Kasinski) Tarasek. He attended Buffalo schools.

He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on December 17, 1961.

On December 21, 1985, he married Joy Bosworth Tarasek who died May 5, 2015.

John was employed at National Fuel for over 39 years.

John was a former member of St. Patrick Church in Limestone, a life member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years of service, the Eagles, Moose, and the American Legion of Limestone.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie (the late Robert) Kaznica, of Cheektawaga NY, and Kim Midduagh, of Limestone, one step-daughter Tina (Jeff) Hendryx, of Lewis Run, three step sons, Jerry (Hoa) Bosworth, of Dayton OH, Kenneth (Denise) Bosworth, of Pembrooke Pines FL, and Timothy (Erin) Bosworth, of Bradford, one sister, Alice (Larry) Magerski of Cheektawaga, NY, 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Patricia (Donnelly) Tarasek, his second wife Joy, and two brothers, Robert and Raymond Tarasek.

Friends will be received on Friday June 4, 2021, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., at 1:00 pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating, followed by Military Honor's by members of the Honor Guard from the American Legion Post 1560 of Limestone, at Limestone Cemetery. Burial will follow.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
