Gladys Pearl Frick

Gladys P. Frick, 92, of Custer City, passed away on June 24, 2021, surrounded by her family.

Born on April 13, 1929, in Bradford, she was born to the late Alfred and Ellen (Hawk) Ausel. She was a graduate of Bradford Senior High School, class of 1947. 

On June 24, 1949 in Bradford, she married Clifford N. Frick, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2020. God reunited Gladys with Clifford on their 72nd Anniversary. 

Gladys worked for Citizen National Bank, Newberries, was a housekeeper for Jack Still, and retired after 20 years at Zippo in 1992. 

She was a member of Evans Memorial Church.

Gladys enjoyed knitting, baking, and making Sunday dinners for the family. She loved getting her hair done and dressing up on the weekends. Gladys loved her family and thought about their every need. She was kind, generous, and very thoughtful, thinking of others before herself.

Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Rooke, of Bradford, and Deborah Frick of Alexandria, VA, two granddaughters, Tiffany (Jason Babcock) Rooke and Bridgette (James Jr.) Copeland, both of Bradford, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
  
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford, one son-in-law Michael Rooke, and one sister Emma Jane Burgess.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
