Linda Carroll Murphy

Linda Carroll Murphy, 62, of 65 Derrick Road, Bradford, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at her home after a brief illness.

Born January 3, 1959, in Fayetteville NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia (Wilson) Carroll.
 
On June 24, 1992 in the Duke Center United Methodist Church, she married Shayn L. Murphy who survives.

Linda attended Opelika High School in Opelika, AL graduating in the class of 1977. 

She worked as a waitress at several restaurants in Alabama and Georgia before moving to the Bradford area where she worked at the former Great American Restaurant in the Bradford Mall and Carnegie’s before becoming a certified nursing assistant where she worked at the Bradford Manor and then Bradford Nursing Pavilion.

Linda is survived by her husband Shayn of 29 years, one son Chris (Kristin) Brady, and one daughter Megan (Anthony) Bevacqua all of Bradford. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters Kyla and Sara Brady, Natalie Shields
.
In addition, she is survived by tw0 sister-in-laws, Tina Carroll of Opelika, Al, Kim (Doug) Bunk of Soddy-Daisy, TN. She is also survived by two brother-in laws, Shawn (Dawn Prosser) Murphy of Limestone NY and Kevin Hanson of Lexington, SC, as well as many nieces and nephews and a very close extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Virgina Carroll, her in laws Ernest “Jim” and Janet Hanson, siblings Jean Rittenbury, Diane (Homer) Asel-Jolly, Joseph Carroll, one brother-in-law Mikki Miller, and one grandson Leroy Brady.

Family will receive friends at Open Arms Church, 1289 East Main, on Saturday November 20, 2021, from Noon to 1:00pm at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Zoe Hatcher, Pastor officiating.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Open Arms Church 1289 East Main Street Bradford PA, 16701 or The Pavilion @ BRMC, 200 Pleasant Street Bradford, PA.
