G. Bruce Monti

G. Bruce Monti,79, of 415 Minard Run Road, Bradford, took his final journey to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family after a battle with congestive heart failure.

Born June 1, 1942, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Dean V. and Anne Marie (Morgan) Monti, growing up in the "Famous Fifth Ward"

On January 15, 1982, in the Grace Lutheran Church before the Rev. J. Arther Cox, he married the love of his life, Beth E. (Tingue) Monti, who survives.

Bruce took great pride in being a Marine.

He was a faithful member of Evans Memorial United Methodist Church and served as a past Trustee.

He enjoyed hunting with his sons, feeding the birds, squirrels, deer, turkey and an occasional bear, being with his family, cutting the grass, and happily checking off his honey do list. He was often admired for his grand stacks of firewood each year, and he never turned anyone down if they needed a hand or a couple bucks. He had a passion for Jeeps.

Surviving is his wife, Beth of 39 years, his children, Michael B. Monti of Bradford, Melissa K. Monti Young (Stafford) of NC, Lynn M. Monti Malling of NC, Patrick C. Monti (Heather)of Bradford and his step children whom he never called them that and loved them like his own, Andrew J. Pingie (Christene) of Bradford and Scott A. He was so proud of all of his grandchildren, Matthew and Hannah Young, Thomas and Danielle Schultz (who called him Pepaw), Ashley Monti Hadfield (Joshua), Brandon Hughes, Tyler Benner, Sarah Pingie Blovsky (Brock), Faith Pingie and Isaiah Pingie. He especially found joy in being a "Big Papa" to his great grandchildren, Ayden and Aubree Hadfield.

My Uncle Bruce was as fine as a man as I''ve ever been blessed to meet. Always friendly, always smiling, and able to shake his head and roll his eyes, good-naturedly, at all of life''s ups and downs. He was a kind, decent, engaged and genuine man. In a similar way that he loved his stepsons Scott and Andy like they were his own, my wife, Susan, loved our Uncle Bruce. Thank you, Beth, for all you''ve done across the decades to "preserve" his wonderful disposition and Mom, for being a wonderful big sister. To my cousins Mike, Missy, Lynn and Pat, we share in your sorrow for the (temporary!!) loss of your Dad. Jim, Susan and Trevor
