Jane L. Dragoone, 74, formerly of 21 Cable St, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Bradford Manor after an aggressive and courageous battle with heart disease.

Born in Bradford, on May 15, 1947, a daughter of the late James L. and Francis M. (Holsinger) Saxton, Sr.

She was a 1965 graduate of Bradford Area High School. For a decade after high school, she was married to William Morris with whom she shared three children.

On October 17, 1992, in Hilltop,  she married John Dragoone, who passed away April 23, 2000.

For nearly 20 years up until her death, Jane worked for Bradford Manor as a CNA and was a manager at The New Cow Palace for several years before that.

She loved working at Bradford Manor, her residents and co-workers were her family. She loved to crochet, enjoyed watching NASCAR and stock car racing, and cheering for her Miami Dolphins.

Surviving is a son, David (Brenda) Morris, of Bradford, daughter, Lisa (Michael) Fitzsimmons, of Clearfield, two sisters, Jean (David) Barger, of Limestone, NY, and Janet (Ray) Hill, of Salamanca, NY, two brothers, James L. Saxton, Jr., of Bradford, and Jack Saxton, of Nokomis, FL, five grandchildren, Brian Morris, Lacy Thompson, Christopher Fluent, Anna Fitzsimmons and Bayleigh Morris, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, and her daughter, Shelley Morris Fluent.

Family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave, where funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm with Rev. Robert Brest. A private burial will be in Corydon Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Activities Department at Bradford Manor or to a charity of the donor's choice.
