James F. Sullivan

James F. "Jim"  Sullivan, 84, of Richardson Ave., Lewis Run, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at UPMC Hamot, after a sudden stroke. 

Born April 6, 1937, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Sankner) Sullivan. He was a 1955 graduate of St. Bernard School.

On November 14, 1956, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corp. and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was honorably discharged on October 12, 1959.

On March 22, 1961, at St. Mary's of the Angels Church in Olean, he married Mona Kay (Torrey) Sullivan who survives. 

Jim was a case worker for 22 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services at the McKean County Public Assistance Office. 

He was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 403, Bradford Central Christian Rambler Association, the Italian Club, and he is a 30 year, men's basketball, season ticket holder at St. Bonaventure University.
 
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 60 years, Mona Kay, are two daughters, Brenda (Randy) Knapp, of Tucson AZ, and Susan (Nick) Frampton, of Bradford, four sons Joseph Sullivan, of Lewis Run, Donald Sullivan, of Lewis Run, Kevin (Alesia) Sullivan, of Winchester VA, and Bruce (Annette) Sullivan, of Sarver, 11 grandchildren, Adam Knapp, Kristofer Knapp, Joshua Kahle, Danielle Sullivan, Emma Sullivan, Noah Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan, Molly Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan, Brady Sullivan, Brinley Sullivan, five great grandchildren, Kylee Knapp, Madilynn Knapp, Brayden Knapp, Stella Knapp, and Adalyn Maze, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Constance Schreiber and Sandra McArter.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue.

Friends are also invited to attend a Con-celebrated Mass of Christian Burial at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 10, 2022, with Rev. Stephen Schreiber, Pastor of Holy Redeemer Church of Warren, and Fr. Jim Gutting, Senior Associate of St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Bradford Central Christian Alumni Association P.O. Box 261, Bradford PA 16701, or the Lewis Run Volunteer Fire Department, 46 Main Street, Lewis Run PA, 16738.
