Bonnie J. Connor, 80, of 179 Patterson Lane, Bradford, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Olean General Hospital.
Born December 13, 1941, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of the late Clayton "Fibber" and Harriet (Kilcoin) McGee. She was a 1959 graduate of Port Allegany High School.
On September 2, 1961, in Port Allegany, she married George E. Connor, who survives.
She had been employed as a secretary at Bolivar Drive Baptist Church and prior to her retirement in 1994 she was a clerk at Fairway Ford for 18 years.
She was a former member of the Bolivar Drive Baptist Church, where she played the organ for over 25 years. She sang in their church group Gospel in Praise for more than 10 years and sang for several years in "Abundant Life Singers'", which was composed of area churches. She was a former member of the Sawyer Evangelical Church.
Bonnie was a member of the Y Wives at the YWCA, Bradford Senior Center, the Bradford Ecumenical Home Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Bradford Medical Center. She was a founding member of the McKean County Tea Party Patriots. She loved to go camping with family. Most of all she was the best wife, mother, homemaker, and grandma.
Surviving is her husband George of 60 years, one daughter, Pam (Ned) Watson, of Bradford, two sons, Randall (Joan) Connor, of Christiansburg VA, and Timothy (Stacy) Connor, of Bassett VA, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister Carolyn (Gordon) Chase, of Williamsburg VA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Nancy Cornell.
Family will receive friends on Friday March 4, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 372 East Main Street, at 1:00 pm funeral services will be held with Rev. Brad Preston, officiating. Committal services and burial will follow in Card Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Sawyer Evangelical Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
