Donald J. Black

Donald J. "Don" Black, 81, of Bradford, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022, at The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center. 

Born February 19, 1941, in Olean, New York, he was a son of Augustus and  Caroline (Clark) Black.

Don had been employed at PNC Bank as a financial advisor.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, chess, and cribbage.

Surviving is one son, Daniel Black of SC, two step-sons, Rick Farrell of FL, Mike Farrell of VA, one step-daughter, Janine Farrell-Benjamin of Bradford, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, his former wife, Shirley A. (Mason) Black, of Bradford, one brother Verlin Black of Bradford, and several neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Malissa Black and Susan Tessmer, one granddaughter, Shawna Walters, two brothers, Robert Black, and Stanley Black, two sisters, Bernajean Reynolds and Florence Updegrove.

Private services will be held for family with Rev. Rick Price, Pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
