Harriet C. Caiola

Harriet C Caiola , 77 of Bradford , passed away, unexpectedly,  March 11, 2022 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, following a surgery, surrounded by her husband of 40 years, Tony, and youngest daughter, Melissa.

Born October 15, 1944, in Queens, NY, a daughter of the late James Taylor and Fannie "Fay" (Chearilla) Near.

Her family settled in Bradford in 1947.  She was a Bradford Area High School graduate.

In 1998 in Bradford, she married Anthony "Tony" Caiola, who survives.

Harriet was a self employed home health care aide, assisting many families in the community. 

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Buno, of Bradford and Tracey (Brent) Marga, of Tacoma, WA, one son, Bill Knapp, of Edmonds, WA, two brothers, Butch Taylor, of Bradford and Vincent Near, of AZ, niece, Tina (John) Baker, great niece, Courtney Baker, and great nephew, Aric Taylor, all of Eldred.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tony Taylor, sister, Joanne Zimmerman, daughter, Lisa M. Meyer, son, Rick Knapp, and grandson, Cody Meyer.

The thoughts, prayers, and love that has been bestowed upon our family in these hardest of days has us in complete awe and will be forever grateful and thankful for our family, friends and community with their outpour of support.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced. 

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
