Stewart L. Dibble

Stewart L. Dibble “Stew”, 79, of Heavens Way, Marshburg, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ogdensburg, on October 18, 1942, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Maisel (Spencer) Dibble.

Stew attended Ogdensburg schools and graduated from Canton High School.

He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served honorably for 2 years.

He formerly worked for Piper Aircraft in Lockhaven, he was a pipeliner in the oil fields, owned and operated Black Bear Truss Company, and was a self-employed Oil and Gas Producer. He enjoyed hunting and carpentry.

Surviving is his wife Martha M (Struchen) Dibble of 41 years, one daughter, Pamela Hollingsworth, of Trout Run, two sons, Lawrence "Hickory" with wife (Sarah Dibble), of Duke Center, and Stewart L Dibble, of Trout Run, one sister, Darlene Atkinson, four brothers, Dennis (Sandy) Dibble, Paul (Willie) Dibble, Tim (Vickie) Dibble, and Maxwell (Sheila) Dibble, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Ledge and Louise Ward.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm on Saturday
July 23, 2022, at his son Hickory's home at 459 Kansas Branch Road,
Duke Center, with Rev. Vickie Niver, officiating.  Members of the United States Army and the American Legion Honor Guard will provide Military Honors. For those attending please use the Duke Center side of Kansas Branch Road and follow the signs.
