Robert Duane Schlopy

Robert Duane Schlopy, Sr., 70, of Jackson Avenue, Bradford, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Olean General Hospital.

Born October 4, 1951, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Clifford and Iola Marion (VanCamp) Schlopy.

He was a 1969 graduate of Bradford High School.

On December 18, 1970, he married Kathleen L. (Flaherty) Schlopy who preceded him in death on October 23, 2012.

Robert formerly worked at AirCo Speer, he retired from Corning Glass. He enjoyed working on cars in his free time. 

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Randy) Markley, of Audubon, and Michelle Bartlett Feldman, one son, Robert D. (Sharon) Schlopy Jr., of Hudson FL, four grandchildren, three sisters, Carol Schlopy, of Bradford, Cindy Schlopy, and Faye Waid, one brother, Ross Schlopy Sr., long time girlfriend, Linda Waite and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, her siblings, Leslie, Butch, Rusty, Roy, and Rod, and Kathy Schlopy, and Judy McGuire, 

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 5 to 7:00 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., at 7:00 pm funeral services will be held with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian Pastor, officiating.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
