Paul C. Anderson, 87, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 19, 1934, in Bradford, he was the son of the late Einar and Mary (Benson) Anderson.
He attended Bradford Area High School and was a 1952 graduate.
Paul enlisted in the United States Army, November 3, 1954, and was honorably discharged on October 26, 1956.
On March 30, 1957, in the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Bradford, he married Joyce S. (Shaffer) Anderson, who passed away, June 10, 2004. On October 10, 2009, in Emanuel Lutheran Church, he married, Bonnie (Allen) Foreman Anderson, who survives.
Paul started his career in 1957, as Manager at Firestone. In 1973 he became a salesman, and later Vice President at Bradford Pipe & Supply where he worked for 17 years. In retirement he was a driver for Zippo Executives and escorted the Zippo Car to special exhibits. He later worked at Glendorn.
He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he performed numerous duties, and served on Church Council. Paul was a member of the Masonic Lodge 749 F&AM. He was part of the Sal's Supermarket skeet team in Bradford Skeet league. He was a volunteer for BRMC.
Paul enjoyed going to his family camp in Willow Creek and his friend's camp in West Virginia. His passion was hunting with his friends and family. He enjoyed forest dendrology, and anything related to nature. He loved to mesmerize all who would listen with his story telling of days gone by.
Surviving is his wife, Bonnie of 12 years, two daughters, Lisa M. (David) Bertolasio, of Sharpsville, and Martha L. (Steven) Morris, two sons Barry J.
(Francy) Anderson, and David P. (Shirley Sigmon) Anderson, all of Bradford, two stepchildren, Gregory (Rachel) Foreman, of Bradford, and Deborah McCurdy, of Erie, nine grandchildren, Benjamin Moonan, D.J. (Jen) Bertolasio, Jonathan Bertolasio, Rachel Anderson, Meghan McCurdy, Brooke Anderson, Julianna Morris, Breanna Anderson and Konner McCurdy, seven great grandchildren, Alyn, Reese, Arlo, Annalise, Penny, Oliver, and Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joyce, and one grandson, Ryan K. Moonan.
Private services will be observed, and Military Honors will be accorded immediately following the service at Willow Dale Cemetery by members of the United States Army and members of the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 108 of Bradford. A Celebration of Paul's life will be held at a later date.
