Ronald E. Hetrick

Ronald E. Hetrick, 80, of 5694 Rt. 646, Cyclone, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born January 12, 1942, in Sigel, he was a son of the late Gertrude (Asel) Hetrick Songer and Howard Hetrick who survives. He was a 1961 graduate of Bradford High School.

On September 11, 1961, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on September 10, 1964.

On November 1, 1989, in Smethport he married Bertha A. (See) Hetrick who survives.

He was employed by the International Bricklayers Union of Bricklayers and Craftworkers Local #5. He worked on projects like the Kinzua Dam, K-Mart Plaza, Rt. 219 and the St. Bernard Elementary School.

Surviving in addition to his wife Bertha of 32 years, is one daughter, Carla (Timothy Wright) MacClymont, of Cyclone, two sons, Donald W. Peterson, of Bradford, and Eugene (Leanna Parks) Peterson, of Ormsby, one brother, Dale (Barbara) Songer, of Bradford, 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Robert Songer, two brothers, Raymond Hetrick and Donald Hetrick.

Services are private and at the convenience of family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
