Guy W. Waldman

Guy W. Waldman, 85, of Marshburg, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his wife and children.

Born on July 1, 1936, in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late Adam and Mildred (Keister) Waldman.

He was a 1954 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.

Guy was a veteran of the United States Navy. He served from 1954 to 1957 as a Electricians Mate Second Class.

On July 1, 1961, in the First Baptist Church in Bradford, he married Marian (Drummond) Waldman, who survives.

In 1958 he graduated from the Ross Leffler School of Conservation, and he joined the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a Wildlife Conservation Officer, a position he held for 42 years.

Guy was a master craftsman who built furniture and dog sleds. He enjoyed hiking and hiked in the Adirondacks as well as the Swiss Alps. He loved walking in the woods and just sitting on his back deck looking at his beautiful yard.

Surviving is his wife Marian of 60 years, two daughters, Kim (Scott) Page, of Victor, NY and Kelly (Mike) Miller, of Downingtown, one son, Kevin (Allyson) Waldman, of Novi, MI, six grandchildren, Connor, Spencer, Lanie, Haleigh, Luke and Lauren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.

Family will receive friends in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, on Monday May 30, 2022, from Noon to 2:00 PM and again on Tuesday from Noon to 1:00 PM, at which time funeral services will be held with Rev Max Miller, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
