Merle E. Ruffner

Merle E. "Bud" Ruffner, 85, of 155 Summer Street, Bradford, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday August 29, 2022, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born February 6, 1937, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Merle J. and Dorothy W. (Johnson) Ruffner. He was a 1955 graduate of Bradford High School.

On April 28,1958, in Bradford, he married Shirley (Valerius) Ruffner who died January 31, 2015. 

Merle was employed at Boise Cascade for 15 years, and later for Natilana Pizza for over 20 years.

He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. He enjoyed camping, going to the casino, watching NASCAR, college basketball, WWE, and was an avid bowler.
 
Surviving are two sons, Randy E. (Christy) Ruffner, of Bradford and Ronald L. Ruffner, of Bradford, eight grandchildren, Tristan Mackey, Hope Sherk, Alyssa Connolly, Randy Ruffner, Rhonda Moore, Heather Ruffner, Jennifer Ruffner and Jeana Ruffner, nine great grandchildren, Garrett Moore, Lindsey Moore, Landon Ruffner, MacKenzee Ruffner, Owen Fries, Ezra Mackey, Luca Connolly, Lakelyn Connolly, and Blake Sherk, one brother, John (Sue) Ruffner of Aiken, and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley of 57 years, two sisters, Beverly Good and Bonnie Mascioni, and two brothers, Richard Ruffner and Robert Ruffner, Sr. 

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the New Life Fellowship Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am with Rev. Matthew McDonald, Pastor, officiating.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
