Joseph E. Hooper

Joseph E. Hooper, 71, of Big Shanty Road, Lewis Run, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born March 10, 1951, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Donald C. and Mary (Willoughby) Hooper.

Joe was raised in Gifford and graduated from Smethport High School in 1969.

He married Mary E. (O'Connell) Hooper, he later married June M. (King) Miles, who both preceded him in death.

Joe worked at KOA Speer, Ethan Allen, Bradford Nugas, Penzoil and he retired from East Resources.

He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to go camping, fishing and hunting.

Surviving are three sons, Charles M. Charnisky, Timothy L. Charnisky, both of Bradford, and Aaron M. (Rebecca) Hooper, of Allegany, NY, one daughter, Tammy Hooper, of Reno NV, nine grandchildren, Alex, Madaline, Jacob, Carter, Cameron, Isaiah, Cassie, Rylee, Brandon, one great grandchild, Scarlette, one brother, Donald Hooper Jr. of Las Vegas NV, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Dorothy Willoughby, parents, both wives, and one son, Matthew Hooper who died November 7, 2004, and two brothers, Bruce and Christopher Hooper.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
