Henry "Jim" Jackson, Jr., 77, of Olean Road, Derrick City, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at UPMC Hamot.
Born February 13, 1945, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Henry James Sr. and Betty Frances (Wachob) Jackson. He was a 1963 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On May 29, 1965, in Bradford, he married Beverly Jean (Robbins) Jackson, who passed away April 16, 2014.
Jim had worked for Herzog Oil Field Services, and for 23 years owned and operated the Dari Hut along with his wife Bev. He also owned and operated his own trucking company.
Jim enjoyed gardening and being a jack of all trades.
Surviving are three daughters, Laurie (Art) Howell, of Hinsdale NY, Brenda (Jeffrey) Stack, of Bradford, and Angela (Doug Rowland) Jackson, of Glenwood, NY, two sons, Kevin (Amanda) Jackson, of Lafayette TN, and Matthew (Tiffany) Jackson, of Derrick City, 11 grandchildren, one sister, Julie (the late Kenneth) Eddy, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly, one brother, John Robert “Jack” Jackson who died in 1973, and one granddaughter, Gabriella Jackson.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 3-5pm & 7-9pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jay Tennies Pastor of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
