Helen E. McLaughlin

Helen E. McLaughlin, 93, of 62 West Warren Road, Custer City, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her residence.  

Born July 3, 1929, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Robert F. and Bertha (Thomas) Guzek. She attended Bradford schools.

Helen married George Albert Osborne who died June 19, 1960. She later married Felix McLaughlin who also preceded her in death.

Helen worked at Bradford Meat and Provisions for 20 years and later at the Pennhills Club for 10 years.

She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church. She always enjoyed canning her garden harvest, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren who she truly adored.

Surviving are two sons, George M. (Carol) Osborne, of Bradford, Willard (the late Linda) Osborne, of MS, seven grandchildren George (Deborah Ickes) Osborne, William Osborne, Thomas Osborne, Tiffany (Codie) Baker, Daniel (Stephanie) McCamey, Sabrina Himes, and Joseph Osborne. Five great grandchildren, Alicia, Brittany, Katelyn, Somer, and Gavin, five great-great grandchildren Elijah, Amelia, Olivia, Michael, and Joel. two stepchildren, Becky Hoadley and Bill McLaughlin, and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, nine stepchildren, Gertrude Cramer, Cathryn Ayers, Clista Haskins, Ann Howard, Loretta Hill, Aaron, Patrick, Fred, and Ted McLaughlin.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Avenue, where at Noon funeral services will be held with, Fr. Jim Gutting, Senior Administrative Assistant of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
