Gloria D. Battles

Gloria Dawn Battles, 94, formerly of McKune Avenue, Bradford, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at Bradford Manor.

Born March 16, 1928, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Ethel (Phillips) McCord. She was a 1946 graduate of Bradford High School.

On December 15, 1949, she married Donald J. "Tom" Battles, who preceded her in death on October 3, 1991.

Gloria was a housekeeper for several area families. She was a former member of the Derrick City Methodist Church, and a current member of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving is one daughter, Pamela (Gern) Sertick, of Columbia SC, five grandchildren, Danielle Sertick, Christine Johnson, Jeremy Battles, James Battles, and Jamie Siffrin, one great grandson, Conner Battles, one sister, Nancy Campbell, of Custer City, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, husband, two sons, Randall Battles, and Jeffery Battles, two sisters, Jean McLaughlin, and Phyllis Newhouse.

Family will receive friends on Friday October 21, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue where funeral services will be held at 11 am with Rev. Jay Tennies, pastor of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, or a charity of the donor's choice.
