Roger D. Grover

Roger D. Grover, 63, of Smethport, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, February 24, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

Born May 12, 1959, in Wellsville NY, he was a son of the late Lyle and Mary K. (Umiken) Grover.

On August 14, 1982, in the Evans Memorial United Methodist Church, he married Georgia (Mott) Grover who survives. 

Roger had been employed at Bush Industries in Jamestown NY for many years. He also formerly worked at the Ice Cream Factory in Dunkirk, NY, Monago's Flooring in Bradford, as well as a rural route delivery man for the Bradford Era.

He enjoyed fishing, and attending demolition derby's.

Surviving in addition to his wife Georgia of 40 years, is one brother, Lyle (Jill) Grover, step siblings, John (Chris) Farum, Cindy Grover, and Donna Ekas, his mother in law Patricia Mott, and two uncles, Forest and Nicholas Battles, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Ethelyn J. Grover-Mayer, brothers, Michael, Clarence, James and Craig Grover, one sister Paula Grover, and one stepbrother, Calvin Grover. 

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Rogers' Life on Saturday May 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the pavilion at Hamlin Lake in Smethport, with Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
