James E. Hannold, 83, of Rt. 646 Gifford, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born July 27, 1939, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Carl Edward Hannold and Ethel (Comes) Hannold-Jennings.
On June 4, 1960, in Gifford, he married Rosemary (Rinfrette) Hannold, who survives.
Jim was employed at KOA Speer for 17 years, Penzoil for 20 years. He retired at the age of 73 from Hydro Carbon in Olean, after 23 years as a well tender.
He was a member of Northern Star Masonic Lodge 555,in Duke Center, Orak Grotto, Coudersport Consistory, the Rod and Gun Club, in Lakewood, and Crosby Sportsman’s Club.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, sitting in his garage burning the wood stove, and spending time at his cottage in Chautauqua, and his camp in Westline.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosemary, one sister, JoAnn Francis, of London, TN, one brother-in-law, Edward Young, of Ft. Branch IN, two sister in-laws, Esther Rinfrette, and Leanore "Sis" Rinfrette, both of Bradford, close family, Dick (Tina) Linane, of Gifford, Max Linane, of Smethport, and Melissa (Mike) Bennett, of Rixford, 13 nieces, Kim Hannold, Linda (John) Garza, Diane (Jack) Jurassic, Debbie Kolarik, Robyn (Pat) Boser, Penny (Fred) Cook, Terrie Grady, Sally (Mark) Stormer, Rhonda Kleiderline, Debbie (Doug) Nelson, Brenda (Mike) Alviti, Barb (Kevin) Olinger, and Heather (Chris) Wehmer, 10 nephews, Shawn (Stephanie) Young, Brian (Wendy) Hannold, Steve Francis, Jim (Connie) Irons, Bob (Vickie) Rinfrette, Scott (Cindy) Rinfrette, Rick (Phyllis) Rinfrette, Dave (Molly) Rinfrette, Tim (Pam) Rinfrette, and Jim (Pam) Rinfrette, and several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Carl "Glenn" Hannold, one sister, Susan Young, five brother in-laws, Dean Francis, Jerry Rinfrette, Jim Rinfrette, Dick Rinfrette, and Dick Osborne, five sister in laws, Marge Curcio, Barb Rupert, Reta Linane, Joan Osborne, and Gladys Rinfrette, and two nephews Jerry Irons and Sheldon "Bud" Osborne.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at Noon, with Rev Max Simms, Pastor, Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
At 11:45 am members of the Northern Star Masonic #555 F&AM will conduct a Masonic service.
