Richard R. Brocius

Richard R. Brocius, 87, of 9 Maple Court, Lewis Run, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, with his wife and family at his side, in his home.

Born June 24, 1935, in Red Bank, he was a son of the late Albert and Cora (Dean) Brocius. He attended Bradford High School.

On February 22, 1958, in Portville NY, he married his high school sweetheart Linda (Clugston) Brocius, who survives.

Dick worked at Johnson Radio, B&B Electric and retired after more than 20 years from Control Chief.

He enjoyed panning for gold, playing guitar for the Crook Farm AllStar Band. He volunteered at the Landmark Society and at Crook Farm. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and teaching them to pan for gold.

Surviving in addition to his wife Linda, of 65 years, is one son, Timothy Brocius, of Bradford, one daughter-in-law, Joy L. Brocius of Bradford, four grandchildren, Kristi (Greg) Booth, Jen (Kerry) Roslinski, Richard (Tiffany) Brocius , and Tasha Brocius, 13 great-grandchildren, Tamlynn Lafredo, Zoie Lafredo, Landon Lafredo, Liam Lafredo, Logan Lafredo, Devon Booth, Taylor Booth, Tristin Booth, Tylar Booth, Kiara Hogue, Kyler Hogue, Ayden Brocius, and Austin Brocius.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard E. Brocius who died April 29, 2020, two brothers, and two sIsters.

Private graveside services will be held for the family at McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
