James M. Fries

James M. Fries, 52, of 224 West Corydon St., Bradford, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Olean General Hospital.

Born July 16, 1970, in Bradford, he was a son of the late, James M. Fries and Beverly A. (Weilacher) Begin. Jim attended Bradford Area Schools.

He worked in customer service at M&M Junction and was employed as a manager for Papa's Place II.

Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and providing 4th of July firework displays.

Surviving is his life companion of 26 years, Ginny Swanson, four children, Kayla Button, James Fries III, Chanelle Keller, and Samantha Swanson, 11 grandchildren, two sisters, Theresa (Chris) Overbeck and Rhonda O'Neil, several nieces and nephews, two uncles, Ronald Weilacher, and George Weilacher, all of Bradford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Edward Clair and Olive "Ollie" (Osborne) Weilacher, one sister Angela Fries-Fehringer, and his step father, Lance Begin.

Friends will be received on Saturday May 13, 2023, from 10:00 am to Noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 33 South Avenue, at which time funeral services will be held with Fr. Jim Gutting, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
