Jeffery A. Little

Jeffery A. Little, 61, of 88 Kennedy Street, Bradford passed away Monday May 15, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at UPMC Shadyside after a 5-year battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Born September 9, 1961, in Bradford, he was the son of Harry Little Sr. who survives, and the late Mary Chase, and the late Patrick McGee.

Jeff graduated from Limestone High School in 1979 where he excelled in football and basketball and continued his education at BOCES in Olean, NY, where he received an electrical certificate.

On November 3, 1979, in Limestone, NY, he married his high school sweetheart Debbie (Pascarella) Little, who survives.

Jeff worked in the oil and gas industry for 30 plus years where he eventually retired from the Department of Environmental Protection as a site inspector shortly after his leukemia diagnosis.

Jeff excelled in football, where he was named the Big 30 Player of the Year in 1979, following a stellar football career. He would later be inducted into the Allegany-Limestone Sports Wall of Fame in 2004. Jeff was named the Honorary Captain for Team New York in the 2019 Big 30 All Star Charities Classic Game. As an avid sports follower, Jeff was a huge Minnesota Vikings and Penn State Nittany Lions fan. He volunteered his time coaching local youth in baseball, wrestling, and football. Commonly known as “Floyd”, he competed in the Bradford/Olean Men’s Softball League for several years. His biggest passion was coaching and mentoring his two boys in their athletic endeavors. He took great pride in his three grandchildren, as their “Da”, he enjoyed every minute he spent with them. As a big brother figure, Jeff enjoyed spending time side by side with his brother-in-law Mark Pascarella.

Surviving in addition to his wife Debbie of 44 years, are his two sons, Jason (Kristin) Little of Albany, NY, and Brian (Kylee) Little of Bradford, three grandchildren Kelcie Little, Braylon Little and Mason Little, four sisters, Laurie (Chris) Johnson, Michelle McGee, Cindy (Chris) Coppella, Jessie (John) Rounsville, one brother Jay (Tracy) Little, one maternal aunt, Vera Kohler, his mother-in-law, Brenda Pascarella as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Chase, father Patrick McGee, one brother Harry R. Little Jr., his grandmother Jeanette Vaughn, and father-in-law James Pascarella.

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from Noon to 1:00 PM, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main Street, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Fred Zickefoose, Pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating.
