Robert R. Moonan, 88, of 835 High Street, Bradford, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at The Pavilion @ BRMC.
Born August 21, 1934, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Thomas and Loraine (Higgins) Moonan. He was a graduate of Bradford High School.
On October 27, 1956, in Bradford, he married Donna C. (McCollough) Moonan, who preceded him in death on October 16, 2006.
Bob was a self-employed engine mechanic and excelled in automatic transmissions. He was a former assistant shop teacher at Bradford High and for many years was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and owned Moonan's Excavating.
Bob was a member of a member of the Bradford Blue Lodge 749 F&AM, and the Orak Gratto.
Surviving is one daughter, Leshia (Kathy) Moonan-Rodgers, four sons Robert Dann Moonan, Timothy (Sharon) Moonan, David (Kathy) Moonan, and Todd (Kelly) Moonan, all of Bradford, nine grandchildren: Ben Moonan, Tom Moonan, Scott Moonan, Peter Moonan, Matthew Moonan, Tori Moonan, Tara Moonan, R.J. Rodgers, Ambrose Rodgers, seven great-grandchildren, Alyn Race, Reese Moonan, Arlo Moonan, A.J. Moonan, Karson Moonan, Blake Moonan, Everett Moonan, and Emilia Moonan, one sister, Adris Parkhurst-Kelley, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one infant son, Scott Moonan, two grandsons, Ryan Moonan, and Mitchell Evan Moonan, one granddaughter, Dorien Renee Moonan, one sister, Jean Sutley, and two brothers, Raymond and Charles Moonan.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 10:00 am to Noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Avenue, at Noon funeral services will be held on with the Rev. Rick Nelson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Bradford Nursing Pavilion, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
