Ronald E. Dixon, 77, of Gowanda, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Roswell Park Hospital, in Buffalo.

Ronald was born in Bradford, on March 5, 1946, a son of the late Glenn and Erma (Booth) Dixon.

He was a graduate from Bradford Area High School. On March 26, 1964 he enlisted in the United States Marines and served until his honorable discharge on March 20, 1968.

On August 27, 1971, in Four Square Gospel Church, he married Josephine (Hedlund) Dixon who passed away January 1, 1993.

Ron worked for Pennzoil for many years. Later he worked for Al Barr as a mechanic and was a volunteer fireman for the Lafayette Township-Marshburg Fire Department and member of the VFW Post 212 and American Legion Post 108 in Bradford.

Surviving is a daughter, Kimberley (Justin) Alexander, of Cocoa, Fl, two sisters, Janice Dixon and Glenda Ordiway, three brothers, James Dixon, Richard Dixon, and Dennis Dixon, two grandchildren, Brittany (Bobby) Fox and Zachary Hicks, and one great granddaughter, Sadie Fox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Jeff Dixon.

Private graveside services will be held with Rev. Max Simms, Pastor, Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends will be invited to attend services at a later time.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
