Carolyn  J. Marsh, 85, formerly of Barden Brook Road, Eldred, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born April 8, 1938, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of the late Keith D. Marsh Sr. and Lucy (Harvey) Marsh.

Carolyn was a 1956 graduate of Smethport High School. She attended nurses training at Milliard Filmore Hospital School of Nursing. She joined the United States Army in 1960 as a Sgt. later appointed 2nd Lt, and 1st Lt. She completed her bachelors degree as a Registered Nurses at Pacific Lutheran University. Upon graduating she was promoted to Major. She worked as a Operating Room Nurse and served six years and nine months of foreign service during Vietnam, and was  promoted to Lt Col prior to her retirement in 1981. After her military career she worked as a School Nurse at St. Andrew's Sewanee High School. She retired again and returned to the Eldred area in 2015.

Carolyn enjoyed bird watching, and her beloved dog Gypsy. 

Surviving is one sister, Rozann Cody, of Kingston NY, two brothers, Keith D. "Duey" Marsh Jr., of Eldred, and Thomas H. (Molly) Marsh, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.

Services are private and at the convenience of family. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
