Cotton M. Winston

Cotton Michael Winston, 38, of Bradford, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023.

Born February 16, 1985, in Bradford, he was a son of Nina J. (Bosworth) Dawley who survives, and the late Basil Winston. 

He attended Bradford area schools.

Cotton was employed at Pizza Hut in Bradford, and Erie Plastic Injection Molding. 

He enjoyed being outside, camping, swimming, fishing. He loved making people laugh, spending time with his family and his dog Max. 

Surviving is his mother, Nina (Clark Elliott) Dawley, of Port Allegany, his longtime companion and love of his life, Alicia Thompson, with whom he resided, one sister, Carrie (Philip Davis) Winston, of Pittsburgh, nieces and nephews, Summer Bunker, Kenny Matteson, and Mikey Mattison,  his maternal grandmother, Patricia Bosworth, of OK, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Allen "Charlie" Dawley and his paternal grandfather, Gerald Lee Bosworth.

Friends will be received on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the VFW, followed by a 4:30 pm Celebration of Cotton's Life with Rev. Terri Niver, Pastor of the First Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bells Run Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the SPCA, or BARK's in Olean.
