James Sewell

James Sewell, 80, of 29 Ave B, Bradford, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by family.

Born on October 14, 1943, in Bradford, he was a son of the late John C. and Elizabeth R. (Spencer) Sewell. He attended Bradford Area High School.

On November 17, 1969, in Allegany NY, he married Nicholene (Volliet) Sewell who survives.

Jim formerly ran his own construction company, worked for PennDot, the City of Bradford Roadway Department, KOA Speers, Boise Cascade, and the Children's Home.

He was a member of the VFW, Italian Club, and the Eagles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Nicholene of 53 years, are, two daughters, Tammy (Matt) O'Connell, of Lewis Run and Michelle (Shawn) Runyan, of Bradford, one son, Bill (Christine) Parslow, of Bradford, four grandchildren Chad (Morgan) Parslow, Tate Runyan, Gage O'Connell, and Broud (Blaire) O'Connell, six great grandchildren, Kollen Parslow, Braxton Parslow, Brindley Parslow, Ayla O'Connell, Addison O'Connell, and Kinsley O'Connell, and one sister, Wanda McGovern, of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Delphine Little, one brother, Wilgus "Bill" Sewell, and one grandson, Zach Parslow.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
