Rita Ann Kent

Rita Ann Kent, 79, of 5 Fullerton Road, Derrick City, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born January 30, 1944, in Jamestown, NY, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathrine (Cardy) DeMuro.

Rita was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School and later graduated from Continental Beauty School in Olean, NY.

On May 11, 1966, in Jamestown NY, she married Ronald E. Kent who survives.

Rita was a beautician for many years, and prior to her retirement worked as a CNA at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Surviving in addition to her husband Ron of 57 years, is one daughter, Katie J. Kent, of Olean NY, one sister, Natalie Moudgil, of Grand Island NY, two nieces, Alka and Seema, and Rita's grand dogs, Castle, Clover, and her favorite Clark Kent.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Julia Joanne Fishkin.

Private services will be held for the family in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. with Fr. Jim Gutting, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Knapp Creek Volunteer Fire Department, or the SPCA.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
