Dolores I. Hatch, 92, of 5872 Church Street, Limestone, NY, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, surrounded by her family, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born October 5, 1931, in Scio, OH, she was a daughter of the late Frederick F. and Iris M. (Mull) Speedy Sr. Dolores was a 1949 graduate at Limestone Union Free School.
On March 21, 1953, in Limestone United Methodist Church, she married Richard G. Hatch Sr., who preceded her in death on April 3, 1980.
Dolores worked at Case Cutlery before she joined the United States Army Women's Army Corp., on April 5, 1951. During her time in the service, she worked as a clerk in the Pentagon until being honorably discharged on April 5, 1953. After her discharge she returned to work at Case Cutlery for over 40 years. During retirement, she worked part-time at K-Mart and as a clerk at the Zippo-Case Museum.
She was a lifetime member of Limestone United Methodist Church, where she was the church organist and Limestone Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, and throughout her life was a huge Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Nora (Jeff) Franklin, Cathy (Daniel) Reiley, all of Bradford, two sons, Richard (Ashley) G. Hatch Jr. of Cyclone, and Thomas (Shannon) J. Hatch, of Allegany, NY, one sister, Shirley Speedy, of Troy, NY, one brother, George (Dona) Speedy, of Ridgeway, SC, 14 grandchildren, Ryan (Andrea) Hatch, Sean (Nicole) Hatch, Heather (Chris) Laird, Cody Hatch, Brianne (Ralph) Hatch, Brittany Hatch, Brenda (Thad) Urban, Michelle (Travis) Heckman, Tara (Brett) Lineman, Michael (Kathy) Miller, Stephen (Nicole) Miller, Jennifer (Justin) Stuck, Aydan Landes, and Selah Landes, and many great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her husband, her parents, two brothers, Donald "Fred" Speedy, Gary Speedy, two sisters, Donna Hatch, Mona Speedy, one granddaughter, Tiffany Hatch, two nephews, Raymond Hatch, Robert Speedy, one niece, Bonnie Speedy.
Friends will be received on Friday December 15, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, and again on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by funeral services with Carlyle Gross, Pastor of the Limestone United Methodist Church officiating. Committal services and Full Military Honors will follow in Limestone Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, if desired may be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of the donor's choice.
