Esther L. Dover

Esther Lorraine Dover, 90, of Langmaid Lane Bradford, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home. 

Born August 8, 1933, in Custer City, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose (Steffy) Leonard II. She was a graduate of Bradford High School where she was in the marching band and was elected May Queen.

Esther had been employed as an assembler at Corning Glass in Bradford, she also was a waitress and played the piano in various restaurants and night clubs like the Brookside, Legends, and Roman Villa.

Surviving is one son, Paul (Kathy) Dover, of Bradford, one grandson, Charles Allen Dover, of NC, one daughter, Sheila Dover, of NC, one sister, Annabelle Haight, of CA, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charles L. Dover, one grandson, Benjaman Joel Dover, three sisters, Jane Brown, Marjorie Brown and Mae Izyanyi, four brothers, Chuck, Tom, John and Theodore Leonard.

Private funeral services will be held at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., with Rev. Jeremy Childs, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
