Gloria Luce, 82, of 64 Chris Drive, Bradford, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Gloria was born in Buffalo, NY on August 16, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Bignal and Martha (Franklin) Hurd.
She was a graduate of Bradford Area High School.
On October 18, 1972, in Bradford, she married Victor "Vic" Luce, who survives. In 1992, Rev. David Souder renewed their wedding vows at the First Wesleyan Church on Boylston Street where she was also a member.
Gloria had been employed at AirCo Speer, W.R. Case Cutlery, and once her children arrived she became a homemaker for her family. She also worked throughout the community as a Home Health Care Provider for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma.
Gloria was an avid bingo player, and she always enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed celebrating New Year's Eve filled with alot of dancing and music, as well as spending most nights watching her favorite TV shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Mark) Weimken, of Angola, IN, and April Jones, of VA, one step-daughter, Julie Cummins, of Bradford, five sons, Don (Annette) Jones, of Tonawanda, NY, Edgar (Tracy) Jones, of Smethport, Richard Jones, of Bradford, Alan (Sonya) Jones, of Angola, IN, and Sean Luce, of Bradford, and one sister, Carol Jarrabet, of Bradford, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Victor Luce Jr., one daughter-in-law, Jenny Jones, one grandson, Victor Luce III., five brothers, Richard (Alma) Hurd, Ernest (Pauline) Hurd, Tommy (Louise) Hurd, Delbert (Beth) Hurd, and Robert (Betty) Hurd,
Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, in the First Wesleyan Church. followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Terri Niver, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Kane.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
Memorial contributions if desired may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
