Socrates "Sam" Tsepelis, III, 54, of South Avenue, Custer City, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Bradford.
Born December 15, 1969, in Bradford, he was the only son to the late Socrates and Patricia (Mesler) Tsepelis, Jr. He was a 1988 graduate of Bradford High School.
Sam worked in the local oil fields. He loved to hunt, trap and to go up on the hill. His favorite place to fish was Sugar Bay. He loved camping and lived for the outdoors.
Surviving is his fiance, Nicole Griswold, two daughters, Sarah Tsepelis, of Bradford, and Holly Tsepelis, of Bradford, four sons, Samuel Tsepelis, of Cincinnatus, NY, Matthew Tsepelis, of Bradford, step-son, Brandon Griswold, of Bradford, and step-son, DJ Griswold, of Bradford, three grandchildren, Charolette Tsepelis, Aveonia Tsepelis, and Samuel Tsepelis, five sisters, Debi (Jerry) Keesler, of Bradford, Dawn (Larry) Stillman, of Bradford, Jill Hale, of Ohio, Lori (Steve Kellogg) St. Clair, of Bradford and Colleen Nolder, of Portville NY, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one granddaughter, Aylla Tsepelis.
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Avenue.
