Marlene M. Howard

Marlene M. Howard, 69 of 65 North Center Street, Bradford, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Olean General Hospital.

Born July 5, 1954, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Elaine (Silvis) Baker.

She was a 1972 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School.

On April 12, 2014, in the Machias Methodist Church, she married Phillip Howard who survives. Marlene was a proud stay at home wife, mother, and grandmother.

She attended the Grace Lutheran Church for Bible Studies, was a member of Open Arms Church, formerly attended Derrick City Seventh Day Adventist Church, and volunteered at the Bradford Nursing Pavilion.

Marlene loved spending time with her grandchildren, her family and friends, going shopping, quilting and crafting, putting Legos together and learning about her faith, including morning devotionals with her husband, Phil.

Surviving in addition to her husband Phil are two daughters, Melody (John) Steis, of Smethport, and Melissa (Dwayne) Johnson, of Bradford, one son, Marty Cline, of Bradford, two grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Steis and Bryce Johnson, one brother, Art (Toni) Baker, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Carol Frost, and one brother, Charles Baker.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. 372 East Main Street, where at 6:00 pm, funeral services will be held with the Rev. Richard Dennison, Worship Pastor of the Open Arms Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lamphier Cemetery in Eldred.

Instead of memorial contributions, family is asking for monetary donations to assist with funeral arrangements, in care of Phillip Howard.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
