Susan M. Wood, 72, of Bradford, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Born on September 12, 1951, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Vasbinder) Wheeler.
She was a 1971 graduate of Bradford High School.
On December 1, 1973, in Bradford she married Steve Wood who survives.
She worked at Nick's Red Hots, and later as a night aide for Beacon Light.
Sue enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, watching MASH, but most especially spending time with her family and celebrating birthdays and holidays.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years are, three sons Sam (Rhonda) Wood, Ben (Melissa) Wood, and Byron (TJ) Wood, a sister, Cheryl Tuitele, three brothers, Jim Wheeler, Dave Wheeler, Andy Wheeler, and six grandchildren, Justin Herbstritt, Sammy Wood Jr., Kim Herbstritt, Kendall Wood, Andrew Wood, and Joshua Wood, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Frank Wheeler, Jr. and George Wheeler.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Susan's Life on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Grace Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
