Patricia Ann Pecora

Patricia Ann (Reitz) Pecora, 83, of 331 Interstate Parkway, Bradford, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 17, 2024, at her home.

Born on July 12, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the second daughter of William and Jewel (Tyring) Reitz.

Pat was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a 1962 graduate of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. In the summer of 1962, she began working for the Kennedy administration, specifically for the Secretary of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

On November 11, 1967, she married Stanley E. Pecora, Jr. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.

Pat was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church, served as the Parish Secretary (1979-1989), and Financial Secretary for Pecora and Duke Law Firm (1989-2012). She was also a member of the LaStella Auxiliary and the St. Bernard’s Catholic Women’s Group.

Surviving is her husband Stan of 56 years, her daughter, Maria (Timothy) Nesbitt, her two granddaughters, Katie and Maggie Nesbitt, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Rosemary Reitz. She is survived by her older sister, Jewel (Reitz) England and her younger brother, William A. Reitz, Jr.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, 372 E. Main St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Gutting as Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or to the St. Bernard Church Building Fund.
