Betty J. Miller

Betty J. Miller, 98, formerly of Chapel Ridge, in Bradford, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home. 

Born June 22, 1926, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mabel (Storms) Eidson.

Betty attended Lee Driver grade school, and was a 1944 graduate of Bradford High School.

On November 11, 1973, in the Sawyer Evangelical Church, she married LeRoy J. Miller who preceded her in death on September 2, 1998.

Betty worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as the Tax Collector for 35 years.

She was a member of Sawyer Evangelical Church, and Pennsylvania Retired Employees Association.

Surviving are 12 step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and great-great-step-grandchildren, one nephew, Raymond Eidson, of Bradford, several grand nieces and nephews including, Valerie (Gene) Johnson, of Bradford, and David Eidson, of Chandler, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two step daughters, Lorraine Knight, Linda (Phillip) Jones, one step son, Blaine (Wanda) Miller, and one brother, Lloyd Eidson.

Friends will be received on Wednesday December 18, 2024 from 11 am to Noon in the Sawyer Evangelical Church, followed by a celebration of life at Noon with Pastor Homer Williams, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
