Shirley A. Pedine

Shirley A. Pedine, 95, formerly Lewis Run, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home. 

Born April 11, 1929, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Antoinette (Alvino) Vinca, Jr. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Bernard School.

On June 16, 1950, in St. Bernard Church, she married Julio J. Pedine, who preceded her in death on April 23, 2012.

Shirley had been employed for nearly 30 years as an Insurance Adjuster for Russell Parrot. 

She was a member of St. Bernard Church, and a former member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church.

Shirley enjoyed hosting Sunday family dinners. and attending BACPAC events. 

Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Elizabeth) Pedine, of Young Harris, GA, and Rick (Kathy) Pedine, of Bradford, her former daughter-in-law Susie Pedine, eight grandchildren, Daniel and Brian (Sumi) Williams, Zach Pedine, Allison (Paul) Steele, Kaylan (Angela) Pedine, Jeff (Tiffany) Pedine, Rich (Matt D'Auria) Pedine, and Brianne (Jeffrey) Vincent, 11 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Ann Vinca, of Devon, several nieces and nephews, and several cousins including Jim Guelfi, of Bradford. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Julio, of 61 years, one son, Thomas Pedine, who preceded her in death on September 29, 2024, one infant great grandson Jack Alexander Scherer, two brothers, Tom Vinca, who died December 4, 2024, and Robert Vinca, who died April 18, 2019.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in St. Bernard Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Rev. Edward Walk, as celebrant. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to  a charity of the donor's choice.
