Donald G. Felmlee, 84, of 426 Congress Street, Bradford, passed away at Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born on June 14, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Donald Felmlee and Ida Mae (Henderson) Reed, he was raised by his mother and stepfather, the late Kenneth L Reed. He was a 1957 graduate from Bradford High School.
On January 3, 1958 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served in the Bay of Pigs Invasion. During his service he was an Airplane Mechanic with the 431st Air Refueling Squadron. He was honorably discharged on May 25, 1962.
On September 4, 1963, in Tijuana, Mexico, he married Deanna "Tippy" (Rouse) Felmlee, who preceded him in death on April 30, 2015.
After returning home from the service he began employment with the Carpenters Union of Western Pennsylvania Local #423. He worked for more many years and retired.
Donald was a member of the Masonic Lodge #749 F&AM, and a Past Worshipful Master, the Orak Grotto, and Past Monarch, the Zem Zem Temple in Erie, the McKean County Shrine, and the Coudersport Consistory. He was also a member of the Vets Club, Eagles Club, American Legion, Marche Club, Italian Club, and Moose Club. He loved to read, and work in his shop, and spend time with his cat Gabby.
Surviving is his companion of several years Carol Milne, one daughter, Jody Locke, of Bradford, one son, James Felmlee, of Bradford, six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. one sister, Debbie Phillips, of Erie, and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday March 15, 2025, from 10am to 12pm, at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, Inc. 33 South Ave., where a Masonic service will be held at 11am, and a funeral service will be held at Noon, with Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, retired Presbyterian minister officiating.
