Dear Beth, I am heartbroken to hear about Katie’s passing. Though time and life led us down different paths after childhood, the memories we shared growing up have always stayed close to my heart. I’ll never forget summer nights playing kick the can, filling the street with chalk drawings, swimming until sunset, or those sleepovers on the porch where we’d talk and laugh for hours. Katie was such a big part of my childhood—bright, funny, and full of life. I can only imagine the depth of your grief, especially after already enduring the loss of Melissa. Please know you are in my heart and thoughts. I hope you find comfort knowing she was loved and lives on in many cherished memories.

Dearest Katie, I am so truly missing you. You made me laugh on days I could barely smile. You were so easy to talk to and listened so patiently. Whatever came up at work, I counted on you and you never let me down. I loved you family stories, especially about Hunter as he grew. Your face always lit up when you talked about him. I just cannot get you off my mind. To each member of your family, I will keep you in prayer, asking for comfort and healing. You made this world and our work, a better place. Rest in His arms. Til we meet again...thank you for sharing yourself with me, and for being you.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to Katie''s family and friends. I pray that you may find that peace that surpasses all understanding. I am honored to have trained her and to have been her co-worker at NWLS. She was so good at her job that I used to always tell her that I wished I could clone her. Those words have never been more true than now. She was a wonderful person, beautiful soul, and caring friend and I will miss her deeply. Rest easy, my friend.

When I incurred my first skull fracture/TBI, Katie Price was quick to reach out to me. She was a fellow brain injury survivor, and knew how strange and lonely it could be. She was kind to me, she checked in, she offered me good humor and the kind of empathy that comes along with common experience. Though she and I hadn’t spent much time together—our main connection being the close friendship of our mothers—she saw a person in need and she reached out. So did her lovely mother, Beth, whose kindness and generosity have helped so many. Beth and Katie’s family, you have my deepest condolences.
