James J. Carlson

James J. (Jimmy) Carlson, 50, of 8 Forman Street, Bradford, passed away, Sunday August 24, 2025, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born January 5, 1975, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Inez M. (Finland) Carlson.

Surviving are two brothers, Larry (Julie) Carlson of Limestone NY, Carl (Sue) Carlson of Bradford, five nieces and nephews; Katelyn (Raymond) Rettger, Dakota Galloway, Tyler Carlson, Abbey Carlson, Chad (Alexa Ackerman) Carlson, Rennie (Brittany) Florentine, Hannah Florentine, and five grand nieces and nephews; Chase Carlson, Adam Carlson, Madi Rettger, Claire Florentine, Kelsie Florentine.

Jim was a 1993 graduate of Bradford Area High School.

Jimmy was employed at Future's. He participated in the McKean County Special Olympics, where he ran track and field, bowled, and played basketball. He enjoyed trips to Erie to compete in regional events.

Jimmy will be remembered not only as a devoted, loving, family member but also for his lifelong enthusiasm for Jesus, The Buffalo Bills, and NASCAR. 

Jimmy had a deep unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and loved all of his time spent at The Assembly of God Church. He was also a very passionate and devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, he hardly ever went without wearing some form of Bills attire, and continued happily supporting the Bills during many years of losing seasons. He was also an avid fan of Jeff Gordon in NASCAR and spent much of his time watching races. 

Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 33 South Ave., where at 1:00 pm funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Zane Huffman, Pastor of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, and Pastor Jim Line, Pastor of the Agape Assembly of God Church in St. Marys, co-officiating. Burial will be in DeGolia Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
