Linda Jean Malone

Linda Jean Malone, 89, formerly of 241 Minard Run Road, passed away peacefully Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Linda was born in New Martinsville, WV on April 27, 1936. She was the only child of Norman and Lida Headlee. She graduated from New Martinsville High School in 1954.

On February 9, 1963, she married Harry Otis Malone in New Martinsville, WV. Together they moved to Bradford in 1965.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she also worked briefly. She was involved with the Welcome Wagon of Bradford and the YMCA, for many years. An active bowler, she was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress and bowled in the Coffee Cup Bowling League.

Linda was known to family and friends as a homemaker and a home-baker, baking the most delicious apple pie and moistest pumpkin and zucchini breads. She had a crazy green thumb, caring for her beloved roses and houseplants she had for decades. She enjoyed playing pinochle and board games, preparing for and running an annual garage sale and decorating for every single holiday. Her favorite place to be was on her back deck, admiring her blooming potted plants and the hummingbirds that visited her often.

Surviving are three daughters, Michelle Malone (Michael Posada), of Oklahoma City, OK, Lisa (David) Williams, of Pittsburgh, and Pamela (John) Anderson of East Smethport, grandchildren, Mackenzie (Bethany Crooks) Sloan of Belfast, Northern Ireland, Otis Williams of Pittsburgh, Marin Williams of Cleveland, OH and Piper Anderson of East Smethport.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Harry of 50 years, who passed away on November 14, 2013.

A private Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring of 2026 and burial will be in the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
